Lisa, don’t you ruin another Love Day!
I have left it very late this time around, I have a few things I want to blog about, but as I am watching BSG (which is so awesometastic!) and am soon going to be watching Dollhouse I will have to be briefer that I would have liked.
This is Valentines weekend and although there are some who dislike the holiday, I don’t. Although people say (and rightly so I suppose) that “it’s too commercial” that can be used to describe pretty much every holiday. Of course companies will use holidays as a way to make more money, but that doesn’t matter. We all have personal choice to decide what we want to do, how much we want to spend (if anything) and of course you don’t need a single day to say “I love you”. But having a day where you put in that extra effort and break out of your normal routine is a very good thing and you can do that by spending as much, or as little money as you like.
Because I’m oh so disorganised I waited too long to book a table so instead me and Jay went out out on Friday night to the Mermaid. We had super tasty food and there was even live music playing which was really good, it was set up just far enough so that the audio was just at the right level so that we could enjoy our food and drinks and conversation as well as the music. After which it was time for a quick taxi drive to the Tug & Turbut (we ran out of money and had to jump out of the taxi early!) and enjoy some more drinkies. Aaaand then I saw a squirrel and he was all chchchchcchch (by which I mean I’m going to go watch Dollhouse and I will finish this post tomorrow!)

What did you think of Dollhouse? I thought it was neat, wanted more after the first episode. ED looks really old now though (after just finishing watching season 3 of Buffy) :S
I like and dislike V-day. I like the cards bit, ’cause I make my own, and that’s always fun :3 and I ate chocolate cake stuff for breakfast. But when I was in Sainsbury’s, it was really depressing seeing all these stressed out looking guys buying the most expensive shit they could and you could tell it wasn’t ’cause they wanted to, but ’cause they felt they *had* to. It’s that bit I don’t like about it all :/
Guys are always stressed out buying presents hehe
