Free as in beer

Pay day has come again, and once again my monthly budget was going very well right up until the last week when Beer, Food and Fun got in the way and before I knew it money was flowing through my fingers like water. Of course it was totally worth it, but with a wedding to save for I need to be a bit more frugal.

So in order to try to claw myself back into a financial situation which I can be proud of, I am going to keep to to my budget this month (I do say that every month, but this time I have put it in writing so all my faithful readers will taunt me if I don’t manage to do it). Anyway, in order to help me on my way I have decided that this week will be a free week. That is no money (excluding automatic bill payments etc) will leave my account, no cash will part my hands and no IOUs (be it beers or credit card) will be given out. This will hopefully give me a nice buffer in my budget so if at any point this month I slip off the wagon and start trying to buy the entire stock of the Tug & Turburt. I will have enough wiggle room so that it doesn’t leave me pennyless.

Anyway, I Think I better go and eat some breakfast (well as its 2pm now, I suppose I should be eating lunch). Aaaah I love weekends :D
